IS PETROL CHEAPER IN UK?

In UK, you'll fill your tank first and then pay later. All fully self-service system controlled by one or two operators at the payment counter. The price of petrol is varied from one station to another depends on the locality. Now, an average petrol price in UK is about 92 pennce per gallon, before it was GBP1.20 per gallon. Normally the price of diesel is higher by 2-3 pennce per gallon. All motorways (Malaysia called highways) are three lanes route and we can't find any toll plaza in UK? This morning, I just have chatted over Yahoo Messenger with a friend of mine in USA. The price of petrol in US now is quoting at USD1.99 per gallon... Is it still cheap? She was asking me about the petrol price in Malaysia. As comparison, I would say our petrol price in Malaysia is still higher? Starting today, in Malaysia a litre of petrol is reduced to RM2.00 /litre. (1 gallon = 4.5 litres). If you calculate carefully, our petrol price is higher by RM1.00 per gallon as compared with UK or USA? If we add toll prices to our travelling expenses, then our cost of travelling become very expensive!
